The Learning Commons is home to Bard’s collaborative one-on-one learning strategies support and subject-specialized tutoring. We provide trained peer academic skills, learning, reading, and discipline-specific mentorship in seat and on student-preferred social communication platforms. Students may attend study rooms and workshops and/or make appointments for subject tutoring to meet at a time of their convenience by contacting us at blc@bard.edu. Academic skills mentorship is available for all Bard students – taking effective notes; speaking in class; presentations; reading and evaluating sources; integrating and using sources ethically; managing time on tasks, etc. – all in the context of course assignments. We also offer international online tutoring to OSUN classes.
